Storeroom Manager


Basic Position Objective Statement:



Manage storeroom and parts procurement to maximize mill reliability in a cost effective manner.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts, as required of this position.? This includes activities to this specific position/department, as well as company-wide initiatives in other areas of the organization.



Operate storeroom to maximize equipment reliability while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.?



Perform analysis and control of stores inventories, via JDE.



Resolve quality complaints with suppliers.



Schedule and expedite deliveries as required to meet internal requirements



Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.



Maintain global database of supplier profiles.



Process stores requirements with consideration to quality, total value, commercial terms, and on time delivery requirements.



Work with operations and maintenance departments to improve machine reliability by optimizing the parts supply process.



Review, evaluate and recommend sources of supply which reduce total cost, improve quality, provide consistent delivery reliability, and enhance technical support.



Develop strong supplier/customer relationships



Other assignments as made by management.

Knowledge, Education & Training Qualifications & Certifications:


High School Diploma or equivalent.



Key Functional Competencies:


Working knowledge of JD Edwards systems.



Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.



Minimum of 1 year experience in purchasing/storeroom environment.



Ability to organize data & conduct quantitative analysis.



Experience coordinating activities of associates not under direct supervision.



Proficient typing, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Excel) skills

Physical Requirements:



The ability to work in a normal manufacturing environment to include:? sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time; climbing stairs; operating various standard office equipment; carrying paper documents/files; reaching; bending; crawling; speaking on the telephone; wearing required personal protection gear (i.e. hearing, eye and foot protection); tolerating loud noise (maximum of 95 dB); tolerating extreme heat, cold and dusty environment.? Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
