Healthcare Sales Specialist
The Healthcare Sales Specialist is responsible for maintaining and expanding the portfolio of Healthcare customers to maximize sales and profits of foodservice products and value added services. The Specialist must be a strategic thinker and innovative planner that can identify business opportunities and build positive customer relationships, while seeking and cultivating new accounts. This position will be responsible for marketing the Reinhart Healthcare value proposition to include the complete implementation and execution of the Quality Relationship Management Process (QRMP), day to day management of the menuMatrix menu program at the division level and be willing to share knowledge about Healthcare with others within the division.
Description:

Manage assigned territory in a manner that will ensure customer satisfaction by providing the best distribution at a profitable level for Reinhart Foodservice

Be the local sales lead/coordinator in support of specific corporate agreements with GPOs, contract management firms, and others as directed

Establish strong relationships with GPO and other Healthcare contracted customers

Develop new accounts through sales calls, proposals, presentations and follow up

Develop and maintain key relationships at all levels of existing and potential accounts through personal visits, trade shows, conventions, seminars, etc.

Present new ideas and products to existing and new customers

Assist customers to maximize the value of their purchasing program through on-going product review and evaluation

Utilize the Quality Relationship Management Program (QRMP) in all Healthcare accounts

Market the features and benefits of the Healthcare value proposition and help the customers to realize the full benefits of the program

Achieve the local Reinhart Foodservice division's Healthcare sales and profit plan

Achieve the local Reinhart Foodservice division's Healthcare E-Brand objectives

Communicate with customers to apprise them of new products, programs and market trends.

Achieve customer satisfaction through mutual success communicated in quarterly business reviews

Utilize a consultative sales approach in marketing our products, services and programs

Serve as the primary service contact for accounts by meeting customer needs relative to service requirements and product specifications

Create solutions concepts to meet customer challenges in areas of cost, service, quality, training and facility image all the while keeping the focus on the ultimate goal of resident satisfaction

Actively participate in regional and local Healthcare professional organizations

Maximize Healthcare accounts' profitability by ensuring compliance to agreed upon pricing and accounts receivable terms

Support successful execution of the Healthcare program

Be involved with menu development and data entry for dietary software cycle menu program, including technical nutrition analysis for special diets

Evaluate Healthcare related regulatory changes, industry trends, and professional recommendations to incorporate them appropriately into menu development

Prepare responses and pricing for prime vendor proposals

Coordinate as necessary and appropriate with division Sales Consultants regarding potential Healthcare-specific opportunities

Share knowledge of Healthcare and Healthcare sales with others within Reinhart Foodservice

Critical Success Factors:

Develop strong, lasting and meaningful relationships with the GPO, and other Healthcare contracted customers, and Reinhart Foodservice divisions

Achieve division's annual Healthcare sales and profit objectives

Achieve the division's annual Healthcare E-Brand objectives

Will be involved with Reinhart's menuMatrix menu program to include menu development and data entry for dietary software cycle menu program, including technical nutrition analysis for special diets

Ability to be flexible and step in to meet the changing needs of the business
Qualifications:

Bachelor degree required
Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) with 2 years of experience in a food service setting with knowledge/experience in food production systems, product specifications, long term care menu planning and clinical dietetics required
Five plus years foodservice distribution experience, a plus

Foodservice sales experience within the Healthcare sector preferred

Exceptional organizational, problem solving skills

Detail orientation with ability to prioritize and multi-task

Strong communication and relationship management skills, both oral and written

Proven analytical and problem solving skills

Strong presentation skills

Working knowledge of computer software programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
Travel:

Daily, within division's geographic footprint

Overnight travel - Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
